This is the first of three paintings in my series of my depiction of mental illnesses. This one is depression. It's been difficult to gather the courage to post this, for fear of judgment, or the stigma that comes from discussion of mental health, but I'm finally in a good enough place where I can say I'm proud of this painting, and I don't care what people think of me for posting it.
