Geisha Paint

"Geisha Paint" uses a mixture of low specification art (1bit pixelart) and science fiction themes to paint a picture of a retro-futuristic interface plagued with virus installers (and catchers) and an unexplored early internet. The influences from Susan Kare's early work shine through in the depiction of a Geisha in a paint program - similar to a piece she famously created on the 1bit Macintosh. Littering the canvas are signatures and encoded messages which act both as watermarks and to invite the user to interact and discover content within the piece. An example of this attention to detail is the readable morse code written onto the notepad on the desktop.
