Dimensions (45.72 x 60.96 cm)

The artist's first "weaponized artwork", Ziggurat (for short) was an abstract piece created by the artist when he was a new father and growing frustrated with how difficult it was to be creative while simultaneously keeping a young child at bay from dangerous things, including the artist's supplies. Intended as a metaphorical deterrent, it became a literal one when the artist's child reached out to touch the piece, pricking his finger on one of the push-pins. No actual harm was caused, but the artist noted how guilty he felt. Following that incident the artist began to carry the piece with him occasionally to discourage lingering pedestrians from standing between him and his destinations.
