Infinity King

Painted in Photoshop – Summer 2020 The Infinity King sits on his throne in a mysterious realm. He emerges uniquely from the vision of the artist without any narrative or mythology to contextualize our encounter other than what is presented in the painting. Viewers are invited to allow their imagination to fire and create their own story. The figure is greatly inspired by the work of Michelangelo such as the Lorenzo de Medici and Moses sculptures in Rome. The visionary qualities have also been influenced by the work of Alex Grey. As with many other works by the artist, the halo is elaborated to articulate the energy and personality of the figure. This geometrically precise halo is an original design developed using principles of Islamic sacred geometry. As is frequently the case, the integration of diverse cultures is fertile ground for creative exploration and power in art. See more artwork by Gregory Bart: www.artmindstudios.com
