Lost City

After the tide, the fight against the giant shrimps and the devastating «Orange Agent» that ruined Mister Philippe’s pants, the city was upside-down. For real. No metaphore was harmed during the making of this sentence. Cantilena was trying to find a path throught the giant city that lost its euclidean geometry, washed away with the tremendous water. More than this strange perspective that can twist a normal human mind, Cantilena was puzzled by the lack of wetness, the absence of moisture. Everything around was already dry. Nevertheless, she continued to walk throught the devastated city. Soon enough, she had to admit she was lost. The city around her was a jigsaw of architecular aberrations, like a giant living organism that cannot decide itself for a final shape. Cantilena was lost in the lost city. And the more the city looked being lost, the more Cantilena felt lost. At the end, she sat on a sidewalk that was also a building’s ridge leading to a deadly fall. She took her head in her hands and muttered, almost in tears: «Am I lost because of the city is lost? Or the city lost me because it’s lost? Am I the city? Then where am I?»
