A kabuki actor Nakamara Utaemon III(三代目中村歌右ヱ門) as Onnagata(女方, a term used to describe general female characters in japanese theatre) is playing in a stage of kabuki.Yosete Arata ni Kokono Bake(日本新玉九尾化) from a set of nine quick-changes. He dances with a fan in his left hand and wears a theatrical Kimono. It is worth noting that in kabuki, all the actors were male, including all female characters. Therefore, it takes a long-term training time for the onnagata to imitate the movements and inner changes of the female in the role.
