Nymphe 018
2017 · pastel on pqper
Dimensions (100 x 71 cm)
Part of the serie Figures and Ground , les nymphes explore the subtle transformation occuring as time passes. Each nymphe is a capture of the almost invisible chemical components of our reality, a static image of what is ever changing, constantly fleeing from our perception. Seizing a fragment of this perpetual variation in time and space operates like a solidified dream, forming a breach between a real and imaginary world. Rather than offering contentment, it nurtures a relentless act of desire for something that isn't.
