Pig and Pepper
2011 · Hand cut collage
Dimensions 120 × 80 cm
Based on Lewis Carroll’s books: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. There are 26 collages in the series. One inspired by each chapter of the book - plus two of the stories/riddles told within the book. The collages were scanned - both front and back - while being cut, so as to be made into a print book called Looking Glass Book which shows the front and back of each collage as mirror images. It is both an homage to the Alice books and a comment on the materiality of hand cut collage as a medium. The book was published by Publication Studio. The actual collages were exhibited in two cities and then purchased as a complete set by a collector.
