Erazm Baracz (June 7 1859-january 21 1928) was the chief engineer of the saline salt mine in Wieliczka.He was the author of maps, plans and technical drawings of the mine, in recognition of his services one of the chambers was named after him. After retiring, he moved to Krakow, devoting himself to collecting passion. He collected paintings, sculptures, clocks and furniture. As an Armenian, he gathered eastern fabrics and weapons with particular pleasure. He donated his collections, comprising 500 exhibits, to the National Museum in Krakow .
