POWERUP

Deep inside all of us, within our chests, behind our hearts and lungs, fused to one of the discs that make up our spine, hides a tiny crystal. When we are young, the first time we choose to fight for life, that of our own or others, that choice sparks an awakening in the crystal's power. Throughout your life, the brightness of its glow will wax and wane but can never be extinguished. When you need strength the most, it will power up, a blinding flash of courage followed by an irradiating warmth of light in your body. Always have confidence the crystal can illuminate your path forward, you just need to take action. As a child, I often found myself without anyone looking out for my best interests. I quickly learned that I am the one I must depend on, the source of my strength.
