Self-Portrait
2018 · Alcoholic marker on drawing paper
Dimensions 150 × 97.06 cm
Created this piece from a reflection of looking at a mirror. Prior portraits tended to have a darker surreal feel to the portraits. This piece was created with pinks and browns, lightening the atmosphere. But still having a look of disapproval. Started to take on a new form in portrait creating. This was the first few times I got to experiment with alcoholic markers in a self portrait. They are beautiful to use and how vibrant the colors are. I put this portrait away for several months because I wasn't sure about it. Then I pulled it out again, and realized that maybe I was wrong in my assumptions initially. - I enlarged this image to make it more visible in OWW- About me: LyssaGal.com Prints: https://www.saatchiart.com/lyssagal Insta: Lyssagal
