Spring Evening
1896 · Oil on canvas
Dimensions 48.5 × 60.1 cm
he painting represents a tree or bush in front of a field. The branch works spread out over almost the entire area of the image. Nearest to the rounded horizon, the sky glows in yellow and red colors and then becomes light blue and gradually darker. Diagonally across the sky, something that appears to be either a cloud or a bird's eye stretches.
