Dimensions 222.5 × 208.5 cm
Painted during a family summer vacation taken in 1902. Strange Garden depicts the artists wife in a sapphire gown along with his young son glowing with happiness. A strangely out of place large dragonfly hovers above which has been the cause of much wonderment and speculation with no answer firmly given by the artist himself.
