Stream-of-Consciousness (series #2, piece #6)
2019 · Analog Collage (size altered digitally)
Dimensions (60.96 x 60.96 cm)
The Stream-of-Consciousness series was born out of the artist’s joy of attempting to form narratives out of observed events with very little or no context. A celebration of humanity’s boundless imagination and an observation of their ability to rationalize the absurd, each piece was created in a fashion not unlike surrealist exquisite corpse methods. Creating the short phrases and collages separately the artist would pair the two with no intention of creating a fixed narrative, hoping to challenge the observer (and himself) to construct a story or scenario from the unrelated imagery and statements. This is a selected excerpt from series that followed the original 12 in series #1.
