The Bewitched Mill
1913 · oil on canvas
Dimensions (90.8 x 130.2 cm)
Collection: Art Whisperer
The Bewitched Mill was painted right after his travels to the Italian town of Merano. Marc who often tried to incorporate and blend his animal subjects with their natural surroundings found this particular subject interesting in that the surroundings where made by the hands of men. A blend of the spiritually pure harmonizing on the edge of the corrupt.
