Totem Goddess
2014 · Oil on Surfboard
Dimensions (45 x 175 cm)
Collection: The Tunnel (London)
Inspired by the fluidity of sensuality and sexuality, Totem Goddess shows a body morphing and changing, leading the eye up to the top which culminates in a surreal, sexy, moon flower tree. I looked to totem poles for inspiration, which have a range of mystical and cultural associations. This is a totem to sensuality and fertility- as alluded to by the vibrant colours, vines as well as male and female signifiers of reproduction
