Understanding Media 2023 (7/10)
May 2023 · Midjourney
Dimensions 42 × 30 cm
I've been taking part in the Understanding Media course run by the McLuhan Institute. We get a number of assignments each week that we can approach in any medium, so I've been accompanying my mini-essays with these high-contrast B/W images made in Midjourney, in a homage to McLuhan's old design collaborator Quentin Fiore.

About stantonian
I’ve long been preoccupied with the co-development of information technology and consciousness over the course of human evolution, and so my work explores the relationship between mythology, technology, memory and the self and how it has changed over the span of our species.
