I was told not to ever continue with this piece. A wiser artist told me it was... and I can no longer remember what words she instilled me with, but a sense of enormous pride enveloped me! It happened to be in the folder I had taken up to her in London. Sublime is too rich a summoning. Wonderful I could allow. I am on my second 80's Original London musical Soundtrack. Unbeknownst I grew up with these playing. I want to utter the a sentence starting 'Having no memories...' which may be a kill switch to a reader. The cadence I deploy in language will have had me explain certain elements of development and the space I sit in. There aren't memories brought to life by music, but a sense of self or knowledge. A, if distant, familiarity which is comforting! I fear too that I could be adjudged to bang on about, a missing, sense of pride. I could dwell on things lacking too much for a reader's comfort. I know it isn't a unique feeling to me, but it is mixed up with Brain Injury and there not being an appreciation outside immediacy. #modernart #fineart #contemporaryart #pointalism #portraiture #hampshire #braininjury #hampshireopenstudios

About Laurence Morgan
My journey with art started as a child, going through to my teens with Pottery classes. It consisted less of wheel work but more so free play and within the small group it felt very much like I was adventuring. In 1996 aged twelve I acquired a traumatic brain injury which still impacts me greatly.
