Antonio Carlos Pereira is a Brazilian artist with a multidisciplinary background. He holds a PhD in Literature and began his artistic career in theater in 1970. He graduated in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES) and continues to work in the artistic scene as a painter, actor and samba composer. Closely linked to the carnival in the city of Vitória, in Espírito Santo, his paintings have carnival themes and represent Brazilian blackness in a figurative and abstract way.
