A Terrible Enemy, An Even Worse Lover

My main inspiration for this piece was the Three of Swords. It represents pain, grief, and heartbreak. However, I felt that there was more to be said about this card beyond being hurt. For a while, I had been trying to find a way to express my last bit of anger towards someone who was very abusive. He had left a shadow that crept around my mind, scratching up anything and everything its claws could reach. It took me a long time to conquer his shadow and this piece is to commemorate finally releasing that burden.
