Finding the lime

From the ”City in squares” art series – a collection of 17 pieces in three different sizes, based on photographs from known locations in Stockholm, Sweden. The royal palace since the 13th century and the official residence of the Swedish regent. Today's structure was built in place of the old palace, ”Three Crowns”, that was completely destroyed after a fire in 1697. The palace measures 42,000 square meters (more than 10 acres) and houses a total of 1,430 rooms. Renovations of the exterior facade started in 2011 and are projected to be completed in 22 years.
