FRAGMENTS OF A LAND

It is a set of actions that function as "frames" of the context inhabited by the artists, visualizations that from their bodily practices question their own identity, placing a critique to the official history of a territory historically in dispute. Paula Baeza Pailamilla, from her being Mapuche, born in the city, and Danny Reveco from a peripheral place of enunciation, speak to us of a variegated symbolic landscape, crossed by political violence and the imposition of the Chilean nation state that resists from the corporal and collective resilience that springs from the affections and active memory. These works are windows through which it is possible to observe the political and social context in Chile, an experimental country of neoliberalism where an extractive machinery of bodies and territories has been implemented, whitening the historical agglomerate of dispossession and speculation of life, which in the popular revolt of October 18 showed its turning point.
