Ohio Bog
Kirsten Zirngibl
2009 · Watercolor on paper
Dimensions (60 x 43 cm)
A nostalgic work portraying the bog the artist wandered and played in as a child, completed while they were still an art student. It was an exploration of portraying memory as a series of fragments, never fitting together as much as the original sensation, but somehow more alive because of it.
