Collection: Art Whisperer
A later work by Guido Reni which depicts the scene of Salome with the Head of Saint John the Baptist. Like many of Guido Reni's paintings it is uncertain if this painting was finished. Reni began painting at a brisker pace towards the end of his career possibly to pay off gambling debts as he was known to be a big gambler. some works tend to have less detail overall while others appear not completed at all.
