Why We Can't Have Nice Things (2015)
2015 · water soluble ink pencil on watercolor paper (mounted on wood panel)
Dimensions (200 x 200 cm)
DSKI rarely explains her pieces... but she definitely painted this one as an ode to a little grey stripey kitten that a former friend's darling daughter donated to us, already named ;Stevie Nicks'. 'She' turned out to be more like Stevie Wonder, much to Becky 'BabyKat' Sharp's eternal dismay. He believes we have no idea what a savage he is when we're not around.

About Dawn Marie (Iwanowski) McIlmoyle
DSKI is, in no particular order: quiet, shy, over 40, wicked, rowdy, risque, morbid, missing her hometown [NYC], under-caffeinated, silly, and not smoking tobacco anymore. Often in assorted combinations.
